TOPIC: A LIGHT FROM HEAVEN.
BIBLE READING: Acts 9:1-9

MESSAGE
Saul’s fury and madness against the saints did not stop at Jerusalem. He received a commission from the Sanhedrin to go to Damascus where he would take up all such persons, put them in bonds, and carry them bound to Jerusalem. Saul’s design of pursuing the Christians who had fled from Jerusalem to such a distance and into other places in order to strike a decisive blow against them in this great city shows the boldness and energy of his character.

However, when he was about to enter Damascus, an exceedingly bright light flashed and enveloped him. The light from heaven was brighter than the midday sun. Even the men who travelled with him saw the light. It was so bright and the supernatural was so present that it caused all them to fall to the grounds (Acts 26:14).

He fell down and heard a voice to which he responded. They all heard the voice, not only Paul heard the words that the voice interview between the determined persecutor and the Lord Jesus Christ. Saul submitted without reserve, desirous to know what the Lord Jesus would have him do. For three days Saul took no food, and it pleased God to leave him for that time without relief. His sins were now set before him. He was in the dark concerning his own spiritual state and wounded in spirit because of sin.

God always directs the sinner who humbles himself. God knows your own sinful state and conduct. You need to cast yourself wholly on the mercy of the Savior for cleansing and confess all the sins you need to confess so that a freshness of the Holy Spirit will come into your life.
Shalom

PRAYER: Lord forgive me of any trespasses and restore me to you completely. Amen.
